Main Street Bar and Grill

Main Street Bar & Grill 2If you’re gonna be using my brand new, shiny Airstream Interstate Grand Tour, picking it up at the Fairfield Bay Area Airstream dealer, you may need to wait before or after, so a meal in Suisun Valley is in order.  Main Street Bar and Grill is your stop

Our first trip was a walkthrough and then off to the Russian River 1000 Trails camping resort in Cloverdale.  We got there early because we were so excited to hit the road.  Too early, unfortunately, but not entirely so.  We went into the small town of Suisun Valley just a few miles away and ended up at The Main Street Bar and Grill.

Suisun is a cute little town bordering the Sacramento River (note bucket list item to cruise the Sacramento River from San Francisco to Sacramento).  You might never know it exists as it’s off of the middle of a major 80/680 intersection bridging onto Hwy 12.  There’s a nice section of shops, but mostly restaurants.  We chose Main Street Bar and Grill because there was ample shaded parking across the street, and the menu looked basic but good.  We were more than impressed.

Zeke's CheeseburgerI ordered the hamburger which was cooked perfectly medium rare.  Their wedge fries are crispy on the outside and softly cooked on the inside.  Dave had the ribeye sandwich with grilled onions, apparently house-made pickles and cheese.  The steak was cooked to the requested medium rare, and it was tender and juicy.

Service is attentive and excellent.  Prices are reasonable, too, especially for a girl from San Francisco.
