After a long day at Sunset Celebration Weekend, we decided to order in, and light fare was what was needed after that amazing burger. We’ve ordered from Mikado Sushi many times and have always been impressed with the freshness of the food AND the taste, so that’s the call we made.
Mikado Sushi has a large selection of sushi and cooked favorites for every taste. They even have good tofu offerings for vegetarians. We chose a selection of sushi (the plate is my arrangement of the delivered food). It takes about 45 minutes to receive the food, and the hot dishes are always hot. On this day, we also ordered the Chashu Ramen, which is barbecued pork over Japanese style noodles. It’s always flavorful, but we normally add soy sauce and hot sauce to make it even better.
Mikado Sushi delivers everything you need to eat at home, even if you don’t have Japanese accoutrements. Mikado Sushi is located in a non-descript building across from the Safeway at 16th and Bryant. I’ve never been inside, but I intend to. They always have specials for the crowd going in. It’s definitely worth a try if you’re in the neighborhood.
