This is my weekly post that will summarize Weekly Hot Tips that I read throughout the week. I have added a link to my review of the restaurants I’ve visited. Rest assured, the ones I haven’t are on the hit list for sure. I’ll start with restaurants, then food and wine, and finally a section under activities. Happy reading!!

San Francisco Restaurants

CaviarCalifornia Caviar Company is new in Sausalito, and their caviar is sustainable and cruelty free.  Urban Daddy reports.

Soft Serve Ice Cream seems to be the new trend.  7×7 discusses here.  Looks like a trip to Alta CA is in order, Daniel Patterson’s new Mid-Market spot.

The Square is open and Tasting Table has the inside scoop.  Teague Moriarty and Matt McNamara, known for their outstanding food at Sons and Daughters have opened up The Square in North Beach.

Trou Normand, Gitane’s sister, has been open for a bit.  Zagat tells us what to eat.

Food and Wine

Tasting Table does an excellent job of describing Loire Valley wines and the new regions.  I’ve spent time in the Loire Valley, and it is a magnificent area to visit.  Lots of castles and tons of great wineries.
