Welcome everyone!!!  Weekly Hot Tips – July 7 is a compilation of the many weeks of news that I’ve been behind on.  Thank you for your patience!!  You’ll find news about San Francisco restaurants and new restaurant openings, food and wine as well as activities around the bay.

San Francisco Restaurants

Best tacos in the Mission???  Thrillist delivers the top ten here.

Best sushi in the City??  Thrillist delivers another list.  I think Maruya should have received more than honorable mention.  Believe me, Ichi Ni is at the top of my list!!

Private $498 (seriously this is a deal) test kitchen dinners at Saison on Saturdays in their private kitchen.  Check it out here.

You’re going to see me at Palm House very soon, mainly because it’s getting some really good press, and the chef is a very good friend of Pam who I’m just getting to know.  AND, Thrillist says they have one of the best new burgers in San Francisco.  Burgers are my downfall.  I just love them, almost as much as dive bars!!

Zagat’s top fried chicken joints.  I just LOVE fried chicken.  I used to ask for my mom to cook it on every birthday.

Japanese!  Get ready people!!  Michael Minna is partnering in two Japanese restaurants at 101 California which has been haunted for years.  Best of luck you guys!!!  I really mean it!!  The parklet, so to speak, at 101 California ALWAYS has people milling around, so this may be the time for this kind of change.

It seems sacrilegious in the summer to be telling everyone that the best homemade burger is NOT grilled, but TastingTable thinks otherwise.

Asian-style porcetta?  Bring it, AND thank you TastingTable!!

CocktailsHawthorn is a new subterranean cocktail lounge at Geary and Kearny, perfect for after-shopping stops…

EaterSF updates their outdoor dining map just in time for you to enjoy the San Francisco summer (in a sweatshirt)!

Activities
